FAQ:
Q: What to serve with cloudberry jam?
A: Serve the cloudberry jam with waffles and whipped cream, pancakes and ice cream or with a dessert cheese to add some sweetness. Cloudberries are famous for their nice taste, beautiful golden color and they often grow in inaccessible terrain in northern Sweden.
Q: What is cloudberry preserve?
A: FREE Shipping on orders over $25.00. Cloudberries are the golden berry from northern Sweden. Imagine strawberries and peaches pairing together to create a slightly earthy and tart flavor. An arctic exclusive delicacy, this Cloudberry Preserve from Hafi is delicious.
Q: Where do cloudberries grow?
A: Cloudberries grow wild across most of northern Canada, but are somewhat synonymous with Newfoundland where there is a long history of the plant being used by aboriginal peoples before European settlement, over 500 years ago. And, where they are known as Bakeapples.
Q: Are cloudberries and bakeapples the same thing?
A: I saw that “bakeapples” are a new Foundland specialty and that they are the same thing as Cloudberries. While the price was high, and there was the risk that these preserves would be awful (apparently some people find bakeapples disgusting), this made a perfect topping for cheesecake bites with crushed macaroon crusts.
